What is a (pink) champagne problem?
“The need to make a decision where both alternatives are desirable.”
Where are you from? I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York – one of the five boroughs of NYC.
Why were you in Virginia/DC? I attended school at Marymount University in Arlington, VA for four years. I graduated in May 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.
What are you doing now that you’re graduated? I am an Assistant Merchandiser at a menswear company!
What the heck is a Merchandiser? Basically I help develop and execute a product through all of stages (design, pricing, brand strategy, etc.).
What are some of your favorite things? Popping bottles of Veuve Cliquot, chai lattes, a great book, endless amounts of sushi, running with Team in Training, and exploring the streets of Manhattan
Why did you start Pink Champagne Problems? My university (#LOL) Basically, I needed to give a student’s perspective on what life is like at Marymount. Instead, it turned into a fashion blog.
How did you come up with the name for Pink Champagne Problems? It actually all started at Shake Shack in DuPont Circle. One night, my friend and I said something absolutely ridiculous and our guy friend said, “That’s such a champagne problem.” So it kind of became a little joke of ours. And well, I just added the “pink” in for fun.
Are you planning on re-doing your blog? Since I was employed through my school, there were some limits on the things I could and could not do on the blog. Now that it’s completely mine, I can do anything I want! I cannot wait to share!
Where are your go-to places to shop? J.Crew, Gap, Old Navy, ASOS, and Zara.
Who inspires your style? Jenna Lyons is my absolute style icon, her eye for putting pieces together is truly a gift. Some other style icons are Olivia Palermo, Carolina Herrera, Alexandra of Lovely Pepa, Blair of Atlantic-Pacific, Brighton from Brighton The Day and so many other bloggers!
