Claire and I became friends through being Student Ambassadors. We bonded over things like our love of fashion and sushi, but the biggest thing we had in common is: COUNTRY MUSIC!
When Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan announced that they would be performing at WMZQs Fall Fest, we immediately got tickets! We waited two months for the day of the concert to finally arrive. We probably listened to their songs a million times, each time being one step closer to the concert.
On the day of the concert, it was pouring! Just absolutely miserable out! But Claire and I did not lose faith, we actually just got a little more excited! We put on our Marymount Student Ambassador jackets, and headed out to Jiffy Lube Live! As we got to the venue, the sun started coming out, which was a great sign.
Finally, the show was really about to get started. Luke Bryan started off with a bang, singing “Rain is a Good Thing” — which was extremely appropriate for the weather that day! Even though we were all the way on the lawn, the energy from the crowd was amazing! I think both Claire and I lost our voices from screaming and singing so much!
After seeing what an amazing performer Luke Bryan was, our obsession only grew stronger. Thanks to e-mail updates and Twitter, we found out that Luke is headlining his own tour and will be in Charlottesville, VA on March 23rd! Maybe we’ll see you there 😉
xx Claire and Dana
